Born in Buenos Aires to a Polish-Italian family, Rubén Dubrovsky has developed a celebrated musical career in Europe and the Americas. His dedication to Baroque music and his exploration of Latin American musical traditions resonate in his work as a conductor and multi-instrumentalist. As founder and artistic director of Bach Consort Wien (Vienna) and Third Coast Baroque (Chicago), he has realized the modern premieres of forgotten masterpieces, and has reimagined well-loved works in new contexts for today’s audiences.

He conducts regularly at Vienna Musikverein and Theater an der Wien and has worked as a guest conductor at the Bolshoi Theater, Semperoper Dresden, Oper Köln, Palau de les Arts Valencia and Händelfestspiele Halle among others. Collaborators include Bernarda Fink, Michael Schade, Vivica Genaux, Andreas Scholl, Jeanine De Bique and Franco Fagioli and has recorded with Sony, Harmonia Mundi, Naxos and Gramola.

Dubrovsky has been appointed as the new principal conductor of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich from September 2023.
